View the process from start to Finish. All work done in house by Maestro Angelo.
This is a reproduction of a 17 th century religious clock that was manufactured in 1887. The case was made in Italy by Achille Melzi. He was an exceptional craftsman and his woodworking and carving skills were absolutely wonderful. He carved each Putti and columns out of a single piece of wood . The movement was a Vincenti which won a silver medal at the 1855 French Expo. It is an absolutely exceptionally made movement. All of the gilding and artwork was done in house. The movement was completely disassembled, repaired , and restored to working condition. This is an example of a one of a kind antique clock that I work on. The more challenging the restoration, the more I enjoy the work.
NOTE THE NEW PERIOD CORRECT BASE THAT WAS MADE FOR THE CLOCK . The existing one was a poor reproduction attempted in the 20th century. The new base flows with the clock and accentuates it's lines
